FAR Australia welcomes new agricultural trials officer to team
Australian based field applied researcher, developer and extension provider is pleased to announce the appointment of Sean McKenzie as the new Agricultural Trials Officer (ATO). This key role signifies FAR’s commitment to advancing agricultural innovation, enhancing crop productivity, and fostering sustainable practices within the grains sector.
As agricultural trials officer, Sean will be responsible for spearheading research initiatives, conducting trials, and collaborating with industry experts and stakeholders to drive continuous improvement in grain cultivation. With a strong background in agricultural science and a passion for sustainable farming, Sean brings a wealth of expertise and experience to this vital position.
Sean is just completed a Bachelor of Agricultural Science at Deakin University in Geelong where his subjects of interest are biochemistry and pathology. He has worked as a farm hand in a cropping farm in Warracknabeal and more recently completed two internships with Seasol International and BASF. Since November 2022 he has provided casual support to the FAR Australia team with field work and data entry.

Sean commenced his appointment on 3rd July and will be based at FAR Australia’s head office in Bannockburn, Victoria.
